It feels great to make people laugh. I am a true believer in healing through laughter and I do it every chance I get. So, when the opportunity to make people laugh AND help a charitable cause, it’s a no brainer. I was fortunate enough to perform a Standup comedy set during a charity event by the Egyptian American Organization. A non-profit organization that is set out To provide a forum for Egyptian Americans to serve their interests and preserve their rich cultural traditions so they and their children would take pride in their unique heritage, their knowledge of the Arabic language, and their bicultural experience. The event was called “Egyptian Lelah” or Egyptian Night and the cause was to help Dar Al-Orman Orphanage in Cairo, Egypt. The event included other artists and sponsors and we were able to raise a good amount of funds.
